Designed to build a strong market share in the U.S. Over-the-Counter (OTC) hearing aid market, the partnership gives InnerScope licensing rights, clinical know-how, and support to its patents and NUHEARA’s FDA-cleared OTC Self-Fitting Hearing Aid technology to be integrated into InnerScope’s OTC hearing aids. In addition, InnerScope has status as the exclusive third-party retail chain distributor for selling NUHEARA’s products, including its FDA-cleared OTC Self-Fitting HP Hearing PRO hearing aid. 

Website guests also yearned for more details about Theranica’s latest FDA clearance, Abbott Labs‘ Navitor TAVI system study data, and medical device security trends. 

Theranica garnered significant page views with FDA clearance for its Nerivio prescription wearable as a dual-use acute and preventive treatment for migraine with or without aura in people 12 and older. In a study, the drug-free Nerivio used every other day showed “significant reduction” in monthly migraine days and other prevention endpoints. Nerivio previously gained clearance and an acute treatment for migraine in the same patient population. 

Abbott drove site traffic with late-breaking data about its next-gen Navitor transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) system. Study results supported Navitor’s recent FDA approval for people with severe, symptomatic aortic stenosis at high or greater risk for open-heart surgery. The company also touted late-breaking data for its Amplatzer Amulet left atrial appendage (LAA) occluder, which continues to highlight the device’s benefits of immediate and complete LAA closure. Results were presented at the annual Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) meeting.

With cybersecurity a constant threat, it was not surprising that an online exclusive devoted to medical device security captured MPO loyalists’ interest. The story was written by senior managers at Deloitte & Touche and aims to help manufacturering processes meet future (security) needs.
